Aimee is a child and youth mental health therapist, public speaker, and group training facilitator. As a ‘Master of Fun’ (aka Master’s level Registered Social Worker and Certified Play Therapist), she brings over a decade of hands-on experience supporting children and youth in schools, hospitals, summer camps, and clinical treatment settings. Aimee currently operates a private therapy practice serving children and families in Waterloo, Ontario.
Aimee has travelled across Canada to delivering engaging, practical training for helpers, healers, and parents that are both engaging and fun, while being informed by the latest mental health research and her clinical expertise.
Her training opportunities are designed to build confidence, connection, and practical skills in your work and daily life with children, and can be delivered both on-site and virtually.

This interactive training explores practical, research-informed strategies to understand and respond to “challenging” behaviours in children and youth. Grounded in developmental psychology, attachment theory, and relational neuroscience, it focuses on the “Connect Before You Correct” approach. Participants will learn how to build strong relationships, set clear boundaries, and respond to emotional and behavioural challenges with confidence and care.
This interactive workshop explores the link between supporting children and sustaining ourselves as caregivers. Grounded in trauma-informed, nervous system–aware practice, participants will examine how stress, emotional labour, and burnout impact co-regulation and explore practical strategies to support both children and their own well-being.

Drawn from her experience as a Certified Play Therapist (CPT), Aimee offers this interactive training to equip clinicians with practical, play-based strategies to support children and youth across all phases of therapy. With developmentally attuned adaptations for young children, pre-teens, and teens, participants will learn how to integrate creative, evidence-informed activities into their clinical work. The session is highly experiential, with opportunities to try tools in real time.
These sessions provide a collaborative space to explore clinical questions, case conceptualization, and practical strategies for supporting complex presentations. Consultation is grounded in play therapy theory and attachment-based approaches, with a focus on translating theory into clear, actionable guidance for practice. Hours may be applied toward certification requirements with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
